Process and Tool Design Optimization for Hypoid Gears with the Help of the Manufacturing Simulation BevelCut
As the challenges in bevel and hypoid gear manufacturing need to be addressed, the objective of this paper is to show the tool and process design can be optimized based on the results of the manufacturing simulation BevelCut. As in the past, research has focused on face milling processes, for the first time both face hobbing rolling, and face hobbing plunging are analyzed in this paper.
