Igus Develops Lightweight E-Chain for Simple Gliding Applications with Long Travels |
Igus has introduced a new e-chain system, “glide-chain,” designed specifically for gliding applications with extended travel distances. The innovative glide-chain G4.42, presented at Hannover Messe, is optimized for indoor cranes and similar applications with travel lengths up to approximately 98 feet (30 meters). The product’s streamlined design offers substantial cost reductions of 30 to 40 percent.

An Incredible (and Extraordinary) Machine |

It does not manufacture a specific product, but works on the principle of a Rube Goldberg machine, in which one impulse triggers the next. The Incredible Machine demonstrates the history of automation technology from the past to the present and reflects Festo’s fascination for motion technologies (pneumatic, electric, and digital).
